Round 1
Couture keeps Arturo at a distance with some well timed jabs. The fighters circle each other. Owen ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Arturo to the mat, and his back. Owen tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Arturo Marcos starts to wiggle out of back control, Couture lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Owen keeps Marcos at a distance with some well timed jabs. Owen Couture takes a punch and goes to the mat, "The Saint" pounces into side control. Owen Couture recovers quickly. Round 1 is finished.

Round 2
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Couture receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Marcos. Marcos dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Couture standing over him. Couture attempts to drop a fist on "The Saint", but misses and lands in his guard. Arturo goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Owen Couture slips out at the last second. Owen tries to pass guard but Arturo stops him with a well timed punch. Marcos goes for a kimura from the bottom, but "Randy" slips out at the last second. "Randy" drops a few strong punches, opening up Arturo Marcoss guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount.Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
Couture keeps Arturo at a distance with some well timed jabs. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Couture decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Marcos with him. Arturo takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in "Randys" guard. It doesn't pay off as Couture makes his way to standing. A single-leg attempt is well defended by Marcos. Owen Couture stands up, lifting the leg of Marcos and executing a trip takedown. Arturo connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Couture attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Arturo Marcos slips out of it at the last moment. While using the guard "The Saint" sets in an unconventional shoulder lock. Couture taps.
