Simmons parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. Mario dodges a jab and throws a knee to the midsection of Simmons. Alan Simmons parries a jab but is hit with a powerful knee to the midsection. Simmons ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Mario and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Alan attempts a striking combination, but Mario Antonelli forces the clinch. Mario Antonelli is able to work to two overhooks and lands some strong knees and short hooks. Mario Antonelli grabs the plum and pulls Alans face towards a powerful knee which is blocked. Mario Antonelli lets go of the hold and lands a hook. Mario is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Simmons. Antonelli grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow to the head of "Dark Knight". Mario lands a solid kick to the front leg of Alan. A looping right hook from Antonelli sends Simmons to the mat. As Alan Simmons attempts to keep Mario in front of him, Mario grabs Alan Simmonss ankle and viciously lays into his thigh with multiple kicks. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Alan Simmons eats a stiff kick to the face. Alan Simmons is cut open by a standing elbow strike. The ref stops the fight. The doctor take a look at the cut and determines Alan Simmons can continue. Antonelli connects with a strong right hook. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. A stiff elbow looks to have Alan Simmons dazed. A strong elbow forces Alan to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Mario Antonelli lays into Alans thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Simmons does so. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
