Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Brian Teng receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Gabriel Duarte. Gabriel takes Brian Tengs back standing. Teng isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Gabriel lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Teng to release. Teng hits an uppercut to the head of Gabriel followed by a hard hook. Gabriel Duarte tries to hyperextend the knee of Brian Teng with a kick to the kneecap. Brian Teng hops back to avoid it. Brian circles to the right. Gabriel hits a hard spinning back kick to the body. Brian Teng begins a combination but Duarte ducks down, picking Brian Tengs leg. Duarte lifts Brian Tengs leg as high as he can and throws a sweeping leg kick. Gabriel chucks Tengs legs to a side to attempt a soccer kick but misses and he elects to sprawl into side control. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Gabriel Duarte connects with a hard punch making Brian bring him in to a tight clinch. Brian Teng places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Teng escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Brian takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Duarte connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Gabriel throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Brian Teng. Teng parries Gabriels jab and lands a hook that floors Gabriel. Brian stands over Gabriel, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Gabriel cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Teng is pressed into the cage by Gabriel. He is able to switch Gabriel into the cage and land a couple of looping hooks before backing away. Teng blocks a strong high kick from Gabriel Duarte and counters with a devastating left hook. Duarte lands two crisp punches that wobbles Brian Teng. Brian Teng shakes his head and Duarte responds with a mocking wobble of his own. Gabriel Duarte is struck by some looping punches and kicks and goes for the clinch to shorten the distance. Teng welcomes the clinch landing a lead knee and a powerful elbow. Then pushes Gabriel Duarte back to striking distance. Brian Teng feints and follows up with a hard crossto the head of Gabriel. Round 3 comes to a close.
