Round 1 Braxton hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Golias works to Batess back while standing. Golias throws a couple of outside shots until Bates is able to work his way back to the clinch. Golias works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Braxton takes Goliass back standing. Benedito isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Braxton lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Benedito to release. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Braxton Bates feints and follows up with a hard crossto the head of Benedito Golias. Golias lands a solid kick to the front leg of Braxton. Golias connects with numerous jabs to the face of Bates. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Benedito connects with a hard punch making Braxton Bates bring him in to a tight clinch. Braxton drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Benedito Golias sets a guillotine choke but Braxton slips out at the last moment. Braxton is now caught in guard. Benedito Golias attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Braxton Bates hits an uppercut to the head of Benedito Golias followed by a hard hook. Braxton throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Golias. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 A welt begins to form under Beneditos eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Bates. Benedito Golias throws a hard jab but Braxton throws a cross right over the top rocking Benedito Golias. Braxton Bates fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Golias. Braxton Bates takes the back of Benedito who works for a kimura. Braxton Bates pulls his arm out of the hold and push Benedito away. Golias stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. Braxton sits up in Beneditos open guard and spins to an leg lock. Benedito is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. A trip to the ground allows Benedito Golias to move into the guard of Bates. Bates powers out sweeping Golias with pure strength. Bates is now in side control. Braxton lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Braxton Bates delivers knees to the body and sharp forearms to the head forcing Benedito to turn over. Braxton Bates takes the back. Round 3 is over.
