Round 1 Junichi Minamoto takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Pete Butler stuffs a shot from Minamoto and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. Junichi Minamoto is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Butler. Junichi Minamoto is caught in a can opener and opens his guard. He lands two quick strikes but Pete transitions to half guard. Pete Butler is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Minamoto gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Junichi starts to wiggle out of back control, Pete Butler lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Butler parries Junichi Minamotos jab and connect with a cross. Junichi Minamoto throws a cross that easily dodged by Pete Butler. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Pete Butler circles Junichi Minamoto, mixing jabs with body shots. The fighters circle each other. Minamoto circles Pete Butler, mixing jabs and leg kicks. A series of unanswered punches from Junichi forces the ref to stop the action.
