Round 1 Nishiwaki snaps back the head of Lundy with a stiff jab. Junichi Nishiwaki parries James Lundys jab and connect with a cross. Junichi Nishiwaki connects with a strong right hook. James starts to wiggle out of back control, Junichi lets him escape putting them both on their feet. James circles Junichi, mixing jabs with body shots. Junichi rushes in grabbing an overhook. He then shoots his opposite arm beneath the overhook, falls back and tumbles, cartwheeling James Lundy through the air with a beautiful japanese whizzer and takes side control. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Junichi receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Nishiwaki attempts a takedown from the clinch, but James pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Junichi Nishiwaki is met with a hook cross combo that staggers him. James Lundy explodes with a flurry of punches. Junichi Nishiwaki is then thrown to the floor. James Lundy attempts to drop a fist on Nishiwaki, but misses and lands in his guard. Lundy takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Nishiwakis guard. It doesn't pay off as Nishiwaki makes his way to standing. Lundy stuffs a shot from Nishiwaki and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. Lundy dodges a few strikes from Junichi Nishiwaki and cuts him over his eye with a axe-handle strike. Junichi Nishiwaki is starting to bleed over his left eye. Junichi attempts an armbar. James Lundy time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Nishiwakis guard. Round 3 comes to a close.
