Round 1 Rodriquez shoots a takedown from a distance putting Volody on the ground. Rodriquez defends a triangle attempt, throwing Goncharovs straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Volody is able to hold him to half guard. Rodriquez tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Goncharov hits an upward elbow on Rodriquez, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Rodriquez takes side control. Volody Goncharov takes a few knees to the body while under Cletos side control. Goncharov gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Goncharov attempts a takedown, but Cleto Rodriquez clumsily falls down without much provocation. Volody Goncharov drops a huge strike to Rodriquezs chin, landing into his guard. Volody drops a few strong punches, opening up "Maniacs" guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Cleto Rodriquez gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Volody Goncharov peppers Rodriquez with several shots to the face. Cleto Rodriquez starts to wiggle out of back control, Goncharov lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 "Maniac" circles Volody, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Cleto parries Volody Goncharovs jab and connect with a cross. The fighters circle each other. Volody Goncharov is staggered by a jab to the chin. Cleto parries Goncharovs jab and connect with a cross. A couple of powerful body shots forces Rodriquez back to the corner. Goncharov swims to double underhooks. Rodriquez cannot stop Goncharov from stepping back and taking him to the floor. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
