Round 1
Hirasi fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Chayo. Hirasi gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Chayo decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Hirasi with him. "The Knot" connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Chayo Mendoza begins to work the rubber guard. Mendoza shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Mendoza sets in an omaplata, forcing Isamu to roll through, giving Mendoza side control. Round 1 is finished.

Round 2
Hirasi narrowly dodges a cross from Chayo Mendoza, but falls catching him in his guard. "The Knot" attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Hirasi slips out of it at the last moment. Chayo takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Hirasis guard. It doesn't pay off as Isamu Hirasi makes his way to standing. The fighters circle each other. Isamu is staggered by a jab to the chin. Isamu attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Chayo takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Isamu Hirasi takes a few knees to the body while under Chayo Mendozas side control. Mendoza attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Isamu Hirasi for his troubles.Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
Isamu attempts to press in but Mendoza uses a inside reaping to put Isamu on the canvas. Mendoza hops to side control. Hirasi is wisely defending a kimura. "The Knot" attempts to take it but Hirasi is having none of it, though "The Knot" has used the chance the slide into mount. Chayo Mendoza maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Isamu Hirasi gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Isamu carefully protects himself from Chayos strikes. Chayo Mendoza peppers Hirasi with several shots to the face. The bell signals the end of round 3.
