Round 1 Lapointe is staggered by a jab to the chin. Albright connects with a series of punches forcing Lapointe into a clinch. Ty uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Albright takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Jared Lapointes guard. It doesn't pay off as Jared Lapointe makes his way to standing. Ty Albright narrowly dodges a cross from Jared, but falls catching him in his guard. Lapointe tries to pass guard but Ty Albright stops him with a well timed punch. Ty goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Lapointe slips out at the last second. Jared attempts to drop bombs while caught in the guard, but "The Iceman" takes the chance to switch Jared over to mount him. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Jared Lapointe eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Ty Albright. Albright connects with a series of punches forcing Jared into a clinch. Ty Albright uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Lapointe backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Albright narrowly dodges a cross from Jared Lapointe, but falls catching him in his guard. "The Iceman" is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Ty shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. "The Iceman" gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Jared circles Ty Albright, mixing jabs with body shots. Jared Lapointe parries Albrights jab and connect with a cross. Lapointe takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Ty takes down Jared, but remains standing over him. The bell signals the end of round 3.
