Round 1 Wright eats a stiff kick to the face. After dodging a jab-cross, Kurt Stevenson lands a kick to the liver of Drake Wright who steps back and begins to take a knee. Kurt Stevenson rushes forward to capitalize but Drake Wright stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Stevenson dodges a jab and lands a kick to the face of Drake Wright. Wright attempts a striking combination, but "Mad Man" forces the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Stevenson grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that puts Wright on the floor. A solid kick bruises the leg of Drake. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Drake Wright fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Kurt Stevenson. Wright lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Stevenson breaks away from the clinch while delivering a knee. Drake attempts a takedown, but Kurt Stevenson clumsily falls down without much provocation. Wright attempts to drop a fist on Kurt Stevenson, but misses and lands in his guard. Drake takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Kurt Stevensons guard. It doesn't pay off as "Mad Man" makes his way to standing. Drake Wright sends Stevenson to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Kurt Stevenson attempts an armbar. Drake Wright time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Stevensons guard. Drake forces "Mad Mans" leg down, giving him the chance to pass into side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Drake catches a leg kick from Kurt Stevenson, and puts him on the mat. Wright tries to pass guard but "Mad Man" stops him with a well timed punch. Drake Wright takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Kurt Stevensons guard. It doesn't pay off as Stevenson makes his way to standing. Wright parries "Mad Mans" jab and connect with a cross. "Mad Man" blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. Wright tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keeps him at bay. Wright locks around the waist of "Mad Man". He sneaks his foot behind Kurts and trips him to the floor, taking side control. Stevenson takes a few knees to the body while under Wrights side control. Kurt Stevenson takes a few knees to the body while under Drake Wrights side control. Round 3 is over.
