Yeah, the gi pants can be a benefit & a negative... but the tights that Aoki wears aren't easily grabbed.

I feel I have much better control w/ pants, and it's a lot more comfortable than gettin my leg hair ripped out lol. A lot of guys go w/ board shorts at my gym too though, so there's no wrong way... only a preferance. I've been training for 8 months & have my blue belt.

I don't train with tights either, but I do use the Gi Pants even though I don't train with the gi top (only rashguard). Eddie Bravo said it helps with traction when working the guard, when sweaty legs are trying to squeeze onto a sweaty back there's not the traction there is when a man has tights around that sweaty back. I'd suggest trying the switch to pants when training, but to each his own ya know.

hell yeah, thanks for posting those fights. It makes me sick those Japanese promos let Sakuraba get his brains beat in for so long in everyone of his fights, they always hold out hope he'll pull off the sub but I wouldn't be surprised if he has some serious complications. Aoki's tights are more for his BJJ that style, Eddie Bravo told him to keep on pants for traction... Aoki went with it & turned em into a rainbows vomit lol.

Hey, thanks bro. But Juanito is hanging up just to train up flexibility for my other guys. Not to fight. Thanks anyway.

Yay for real people's names. Hector Gimenez = frequently injured Astros' catcher.
