Round 1 Red takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Sherk winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Billy hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Billy connects with a hard punch making Red Sherk bring him in to a tight clinch. Sherk swims to double underhooks and turns Steele but Steele gets double underhooks of his own and rotates Sherk right back into the cage. Sherk is on the recieving end of a series of knees to the midsecion. Red swims to double underhooks and turns Billy Steele but Billy Steele gets double underhooks of his own and rotates Red right back into the cage. Billy Steele drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Red sets a guillotine choke but Billy Steele slips out at the last moment. Billy Steele is now caught in guard. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Steele throws a few jabs at Red Sherk that miss the mark. Red Sherk throws a push kick. Billy Steele shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Sherks nose.
Sherk connects with a strong body shot combo. Billy Steele throws a few strikes allowing him to clinch with his opponent. Red receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Red Sherk is hit by successive knees on either side of his ribcage. Red Sherk tries to break away from the clinch to no avail. Billy has him on lockdown, peppering him with stiff shots. Steele throws a solid knee to the jaw of Sherk. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Red is cornered by Steele who tries to press the action. Red is able to block well and circles away from Steele, delivering a chopping leg kick and a grazing cross as he does so. Steele throws a cross that easily dodged by Red. Steele is hit with a jab then hook to the body and stumbles backward. Red Sherk explodes forward with a push kick that puts Steele on the canvas. Sherk lays into Billys thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Steele does so. Billy parries a jab but is caught by a sweeping leg kick that sends him to the floor. Red Sherk stands over Billy, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Billy cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Sherk kicks at the legs of Billy and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Billy to stand. Steele is met with a strong kick to the ribs. Billy winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Round 3 is finished.
