Round 1
Baumgartner circles Ruy, keeping him at bay with quick strikes. Baumgartner lands a hook to the body. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Baumgartner escapes the clinch and creates some distance. "bam bam" parries Floress jab and lands a liver shot that buckles Ruy Flores. Ruy Flores rolls to his back with "bam bam" standing over him. Round 2
Claus grabs for a clinch but Ruy grazes him with an uppercut. Claus staggers back, then surprises Ruy with a powerful superman punch. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
After dodging a jab-cross, Baumgartner lands a kick to the liver of Flores who steps back and begins to take a knee. Baumgartner rushes forward to capitalize but Flores stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. An attempt at a clinch takedown from Claus is defended well by Ruy. Claus grabs an overhook, steps to the side to land two haymaker body shots, then an uppercut. Claus returns to the clinch. While tied up, "WMD" is met with a hard uppercut. Baumgartner slips a cross from "WMD" and lands an uppercut to the liver. Baumgartner slips a cross from Ruy and lands an uppercut to the liver. "WMD" weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Round 3 comes to a close.
